Walter and Clara Meinel's Resort on Rest Lake.<br />1946-1963 - Meinel's bought several 100' lots along the north west shore of Rest Lake. They built the main house first, which served as a boarding house with rooms upstairs for fisherman. Year round cabins were then built, one on each lot. In the early 1960s they began selling each of the properties to individuals for private homes.<br />The main house was sold to the Bergland's; later their daughter Ann Evans owned the property. Other purchasers were Newmans, Bill Garreiss, Schafers.
