13. Alderwood Lodge on Alder Lake. 1944-1948 - Edward and Cora Scotten purchased the property in October 1944 from Edmund Kmentt who ran the resort as the Chain-O'-Lakes Lodge. MW Chamber of Commerce guides advertise the resort as Alderwood Lodge. The resort sign lists Scotten as owners and T. Willett as manager.

14. Allan Dale Housekeeping Cottages 1954-1958 - The resort was on Alder Lake where the Trout River enters the lake, on the east shore. Michael Dunn notes that this business was gone by 1959.

16. Article about the history of Beaumont's (aka Belter's) Island Resort and tavern on Stone Lake. 1904-1960 - The island was best know for the tavern where there was plenty of entertainment. Customers needed to ring the bell for the launch to pick them up from the mainland. Previous owners were Ed McGuire (1904), a boys camp, Koerner's, Doriots (Cedar Lake Lodge- ca 1916), and Hungers Cedar Lodge Resort (ca 1926-1931).

18. Arvid Seppala photos including an ad for Seppala's Cottages on Rest Lake. ca 1930s-1954 - Arvid lived on Rest Lake, current address 13828 Ilg Road (Long's). He was a mason and a guide. He would troll with silver spoon tackle and row all around Rest Lake. A frequent customer of his was Mr. Corson (owned what is now Murphy's, 6014 Zephyr Point Lane). Arvid was in charge of the timbers at the dam to control the lake level; he went through the dam twice!
