1. Abstract for lots 79,80 &81 in Shore Acres development on south-east end of Rest Lake. 1894-1912 - E.R. Perkins, developer of Shore Acres, acquired the property in 1910. It was later owned by the Mark Leistickow family until his death in 2021 when the Manitowish Waters Lakes Assoc acquired it to keep as an undeveloped lot per Mr. Leistickow's wishes. 2. Benson Lake rail line. circa 1910 - This standard U.S.G.S. topographic map was annotated by civil engineer and railroad historian James P. Kaysen to show the location of existing and defunct rail lines around the communities of Winchester and Manitowish Waters. Kaysen enhanced about 1,200 maps this way, typically drawing rail lines in red ink and adding statistical and historical information about lumber companies and railroads in the margins. This section of the map shows the Flambeau Lumber rail line on the south, south west side of MW and the spur into Benson Lake. 3. Flambeau Lumber Company office and bunk house (right) located in Pancake Hollow on Little Star Lake. 1900-1916 - The Chicago Northwestern rail line extended access from a government logging spur line for the Flambeau Lumber Co just south of the Powell depot to Little Star Lake by 1900. The Company operated a large boom and loading area on the southwestern bay of the lake. Current address is 13602 Star Point Lane.

7. News clipping reporting a reward is being offered in relation to the damage done to the Manitowish (Rest Lake) dam. June 1916 - The Chippewa Flambeau Improvement Company (a corporation of local power companies) took over ownership of the dam in 1912 and was required to make major repairs to the structure in 1915 as per the direction of the Wisconsin Railroad Commission.
