Henry A.Voss is driving his Chris Craft with passengers on Spider Lake in front of the resort. 1944 ca - Per Ruthie Gardner: This was her grandfather's (Henry Voss') big old Chris Craft. It had wicker furniture in it to sit on. He took guests for rides and pulled surfboards behind it. When it became too costly to maintain and operate, he donated it to a group of nuns. "Bob Town"- Picture of a boat house and boats most likely at one end of Richard Southgate's hand dug canals to/from his summer estate on Little Trout Lake. 1898 - "Bob Town" was named after Southgate's fishing guide, right hand man and caretaker, Robert "Bob" Loveless, who built the first few cabins at Southgate's summer estate on Little Trout Lake. The tall man standing in front might be Southgate.

14. Hill Archery Company, Inc opens a fiberglass division near Mercer 1/22/1960 - A celebration was held to welcome this new business to what might be the Mercer Industrial Park south of town. In addition to fabricating arrowheads, the facility also made Mermaid Marine fiberglass boats. Ralph Hill opened Hill's Archery in the mid 1950s and operated the business on Alder Lake in Manitowish Waters. By 1960 H.P. Redding owned the business.

15. Keego Lodge on Big Lake ca 1945-1969 - Pictures from Densing photo album. They include images of the main lodge, cabins, lake front, Keego Lake and Rice Creek. Two resort brochures with a property map are included. The resort was owned by Moose Ryberg 1945-1955 and then the Fehner's until 1969. Plumbing was installed after WW II.
