  11. Wisconsin Beauty Pageant Contestants visit Manitowish Waters June 1950 - As a prize for winning city competitions, the MW Chamber of Commerce awarded these six contestants a one week vacation experiencing the Northwoods.

Wisconsin Historical Society roadside marker unveiled in Manitowish Waters. 8/24/2024. - The marker memorializes the individuals, FBI and civilians who were wounded or killed in the famous raid and attempted capture of the Dillinger gang at Little Bohemia Lodge in Spider Lake, WI (now Manitowish Waters). The marker is located in the parking lot of the Manitowish Waters Community Center-5733 Highway 51. It was sponsored by the Manitowish Waters Historical Society, Wisconsin Historical Society, Town of Manitowish Waters and the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI.

  13. Women comprising the "sorting" ladies at Leasure-Koller Cranberry marsh during harvest. ca 1955 - The ladies would pick out the poor quality or white cranberries as they came by on the conveyor belt to be packaged for fresh fruit. Their shirts say "Eatmore Cranberries", the brand used by the American Cranberry Exchange. The women on the far right is Gertrude "Gertie" Christiansen. She lived nearby and would walk to work.

  18. Zigray's Northern Lights Hotel and Cabins postcards. 1941- 1955 - Zigrays purchased the property from the Kuhnerts in 1941. They operated the resort until 1955 when it was sold to LaVerne Van Syock. In 1958, Albert Zigray repossessed the property. It is unclear how long he owned it after that.
