Voss' bar in the building along Highway 51. 2004 |
Description |
Voss' bar on the highway after it was remodeled. Per Ruthie Gardner, owner, the picture of the naked lady (right center) was hung as a a nod to early settler Peter Vance as legend says he had such a picture hanging in his tavern on Rest Lake (ca 1900's). The rifle on the wall belonged to Ruthie's grandfather and resort entrepreneur Henry A.Voss. The old bottles on the shelf were collected in old garbage dumps by Ruthie and friend Frankie Koller when they were young kids. |
