Trapper's diary noting daily weather, hunting and trapping experiences and occasional trips to Winchester Nov 1914 - July 1915 - This diary was found by Sidney and Miriam Vinje in 1968 when they purchased property on Little Papoose Lake in Winchester. The author may have been from Elgin, IL. The Devines were friends and helped teach the author about hunting, trapping and surviving winter in the Northwoods. Included is the handwritten journal as well as a typed transcription.
