4. Joe Ilg Camp on Rest Lake. ca Early 1900s - Early "resorts" or camps used tents for accomodations. The Ilg family moved to Manitowish Waters in 1901.

7. Two Seth Eastman illustrations of Native Americans.One illustration is of spearfishing from a birchbark canoe. The other is of a trading post on Itasca Lake. 1850s - Seth Eastman (1808-1875) was an artist and a West Point graduate. He was the first map maker and illustrator for the US Army.
