1. Abstract for lots 79,80 &81 in Shore Acres development on south-east end of Rest Lake. 1894-1912 - E.R. Perkins, developer of Shore Acres, acquired the property in 1910. It was later owned by the Mark Leistickow family until his death in 2021 when the Manitowish Waters Lakes Assoc acquired it to keep as an undeveloped lot per Mr. Leistickow's wishes. Current address 13585 Oak Street.

3. Chippewa Lumber & Boom mill in Chippewa Falls, WI ca 1880s-1890s - Illustrates river drive logging. Chippewa Lumber & Boom Co owned the logging camp by the Rest Lake dam. This company and the Mississippi River Logging Co were owned by Frederick Weyerhaeusar.

4. "E.M. Griffith and the Early Story of Wisconsin Forestry" written by Fred Wilson, forest ranger at the Trout Lake ranger station. (1903-1915) - A personal account by Fred G. Wilson, forest ranger at the Trout Lake Ranger station from 1911-1952, recording the life, vision and works of his superior E.M. Griffith, Wisconsin's first state forester. It was published in 1982 but covers the time period 1903-1915.

9. "Keego" estate on Big Lake owned by prominent Chicago lumber merchant, A. Shreve Badger 1908-1929 - Possibly the first settlement on Big Lake <1893. Thought to have been previously owned by the Laflin family from Chicago. A.S. Badger sells the summer camp in 1929 to a group of Chicago businessmen, including Laurance Armour. They rename the property "Lake Keego" club.

13. Lumber Industries House built for 1934 World Fair in Chicago. This house was purchased and moved to Manitowish Waters by rail to be used as a summer home (13703 Redwood Point Lane). 1934 - From the program: "Lumber House is built in this group of homes to demonstrate the beauty and assert the place of all-lumber construction. Representative American woods are used throughout the interior. Ceilings are Douglas fir, Cypress, and Birch. The floors are oak, maple, and southern pine. The sash and frames are Ponderosa pine. Walls of the living room and dining room are paneled in oak and birch, which are also used in the master's bedroom. Wide, knotty-pine board are used lengthwise on the walls of the boy's bedroom-study. The kitchen has white maple smooth walls and floor. The Lumber House is furnished and decorated on a budget plan prepared after a national survey of incomes of small families. The furnishing is divided into three classes: for which $1,000 is allowed; conveniences, $400; and luxuries, $400."
