1. Flambeau Lumber Company office and bunk house (right) located in Pancake Hollow on Little Star Lake. 1900-1916 - The Chicago Northwestern rail line extended access from a government logging spur line for the Flambeau Lumber Co just south of the Powell depot to Little Star Lake by 1900. The Company operated a large boom and loading area on the southwestern bay of the lake. Current address is 13602 Star Point Lane.

4. Map showing rail spur to Little Star Lake and listing resorts and camps. 1903 - 1903 map showing rail spur to Little Star lake where logs were loaded onto rail cars. This landing was later used for visitors to the area to board launches to area resorts. The map also shows hunting/fishing camps and resorts of Northern Wisconsin and Michigan.
