6. Alvin and Lorraine Koerner will assume management of the Oneida Hotel in Rhinelander, WI. March 1951 - Koerners were the second generation to own Koerner's Spider Lake Resort in Manitowish Waters. They sold the resort in 1954. Per this clipping they were also operating the Hotel Charles dining rooms (Marshfield, WI).

16. Chris Caplan and his father standing in the old Koerner's Spider Lake Resort lakeside grill patio. This property was also the location of the Sydney Hills Camp for Boys. 1999 - The Caplan family owned the property next door and would clean their catch of fish on this patio as it was not used by the current owner. The location of the patio was across from the marina. Current address 13110 Spider Circle.

Dedication speech given by Kay Krans at the unveiling of the historical roadside marker in Manitowish Waters on August 24, 2024. - Her speech tells the story of the FBI raid on Little Bohemia Lodge on April 22,1934 in an attempt to capture the Dillinger gang hiding out there. The historic marker commemorates the individuals wounded and killed by the gang as they made their escape.
