1. Brochure from "Meet the Spirits" cemetery walk event. 8/28/024 - A living history event sponsored by the Manitowish Waters Historical Society at Pine Lawn Cemetery. Biographies of seven local pioneers were researched and portrayed by family or community members. Eighty five people attended the event. The brochure has a brief history of the Town and Pine Lawn Cemetery in addition to a biographical summary of each pioneer.

2. News clippings that describe the 1/28/1922 murder of Jack Powers by John Donahue on Big Lake. 1922 - A posse stormed the cabin and had a shoot out with Donahue after more than a week of holding Mrs. Powers captive. Donahue committed suicide before the posse captured him.

3. William Strandberg had a few accidents while being a fishing guide and caretaker in Manitowish Waters 1917-1925 - Bill was a respected community member (assessor, Justice of the Peace, newspaperman) but he had a few mishaps while doing his summer jobs.

4. William Strandberg moved to Manitowish Lake with his mother, Annie, in 1904. By 1914 he had a cottage home on the Rest Lake channel by Stone Lake. Bill passed away in 1935. - Attached is a news clipping about Bill proving his homestead, a map showing his home by Stone Lake and obituaries for he and his mother.

5. William Strandberg was delegated by the Wisconsin Conservation Commission to try his innovative method for propagating muskies. 1924 - Bill, being and avid fisherman and guide, believes his plan should work to improve the muskellunge population around the state.
