4. Brief history of Barnstormer's Cafe (1975-1978) as recalled by Ardis Berghoff, daughter of owner Lewis Berghoff. 1975-1980 - This was the Manitowish Lake side of Koerner's Spider Lake Resort. Ardis recalls the remnants of the Virgin Timber Inn (aka Oval Bar) still standing after the 1964 fire. Berghoffs sold to Walt and Rita Mazur in 1980. Ardis mentions Carl "Bud" Camp who owned and sold the subdivided residential properties on the Spider Lake side of the original resort property.
