Biographies of seven local pioneers were researched and portrayed by family or community members. Eighty five people attended the event. The brochure has a brief history of the Town and Pine Lawn Cemetery in addition to a biographical summary of each pioneer.

4. Dedication speech given by Kay Krans at the unveiling of the historical roadside marker in Manitowish Waters on August 24, 2024. - Her speech tells the story of the FBI raid on Little Bohemia Lodge on April 22,1934 in an attempt to capture the Dillinger gang hiding out there. The historic marker commemorates the individuals wounded and killed by the gang as they made their escape.

10. Paul Lange, Sylvan Lodge, tells of his encounter with Baby Face Nelson 4/1934 - Baby Face walked into Lange's cabin, pointed a gun at Paul ordering him to drive Nelson out of the country. They didn't get far before they met up with the FBI, where Nelson fatally shot Agent Carter Baum.
