Harry and Alvena talk about their time owning Harry's Super Market in the Manitowish Waters/Boulder Junction area. He retired January 28, 1998 when the store was sold. He owned the store from 1957-1998. Harry also discusses his experiences with transporting eyes for the Lion's Eye Bank, his time hunting, fishing, trapping, and even dancing. 2. Harry's Super Market Advertisements - Harry's Super Market advertisement flyers, newspaper ads, promotional items. The advertisement depicting Harry in a grocery cart contains some history of the store and of Harry Jr. the Lakeland State Bank ad states: "When Harry took over the old Red Owl in 1957, his store was only 1,500 square feet. He's added on seven times to a total of 9,000. He also makes the best darn brats around - like, would you believe... 1,600 pounds just for the 4th of July! Besides doing all of that, plus running the store, Harry has been a volunteer fireman for 28 years, is a charter member of the Lions Club, and helped start the Eye Bank!"
