9. Joe Ilg Sr. family photos from Rest Lake ca 1902-1915 - Joe Ilg Sr. first came to Rest Lake in 1891. He married Leonore in 1898. They camped on the river at Reed's house (relatives of Leonore). They later camped on the site of the boat landing by the dam, which become the site of the Northern Lights Hotel in the late 1920s. In about 1915 they purchased their resort property down the shore to the east.
