Jan's Camp Jorn notes: I was actually a camper there when I was 11 or 12 ? I'm 81 now ?? A ton of memories. Last time I was there for a staff reunion Bill Kauffman ( who was a counselor and has lived on Island for yrs) said I was probably the oldest camper there. My kids ( all except for Ryan ) had many yrs there too. We were directors from 68 - 72. Before that Bill was Day Camp director at the Y in Waukegan for yrs at the end of the summer we would be family camp directors. Loved those yrs. Had many many memories and made great friends. Then in the winter we brought people up to snowmobiling. More great times. |
