3. Bartling's Alderwood Resort 1988- - Purchased by Bartling's Manitowish Cranberry Co. from the estate of Floyd & Baye Christensen in 1988. Mike and Barbara Bartling operated the property as a seasonal resort until 2015 when son David and daughter-in-law Becca took over management. A year round lake front home was added to the short-term rental pool in 2018.

4. History of Bartling's Manitowish Cranberry Company 1946-2022 - Delbert and Myrtle Bartling were two cranberry marsh pioneers establishing one of the MW farms in 1946. As of 2022, generation 4 of the Bartling family continues to grow cranberries and live in this community.
